Best of Belron® 2012 to be held in Spain

Plans for the Best of Belron® 2012 are now well underway and it has been confirmed that global event will be held on 23 and 24 May at the Fira exhibition centre in Barcelona, Spain.

The event will be held at Montjuic, a flexible complex of exhibition halls, originally built in the early 20th century. This complex combines the elegance of halls built at the start of the 20th century with a modern infrastructure which can be adapted to all types of events. The competition will take place in Pavilion 1 which has 13,407 square metres of space and is centrally located right next to the famous Plaza España. Barcelona is one of Europe’s most popular destinations for exhibitions and has a tradition dating back to the Universal Exhibition of 1888. As a result the city has all the necessary facilities and infrastructure to host the global Best of Belron ® 2012 event.

Preparations for the global event are now well underway and the Best of Belron® project team are now working to develop plans for the event. In the meantime, Belron® businesses around the world are preparing for their national competitions focusing on maximising the number of competitors. The Best of Belron® competition plays a crucial part in reinforcing our best practice approach to vehicle glass repair and replacement – the Belron® way of Fitting – and this will be the framework used at the heart of all the national competitions and global event next May.

 Justin Bazalgette, project leader for Best of Belron® 2012 comments: “I am really excited about the 2012 event. It is the first time that we have all the activities and hotels less than 30 minutes from the event. It will minimise transfer times and allow more time in between each part of the event. It is also in the heart of Barcelona and you get a real Spanish feel and a sense of the history. Most importantly we have a very strong and experienced project team and have learnt a lot from previous events which we will put into practice in 2012. All in all, this promises to be the best Best of Belron® ever!”
