How long have you worked for Belron®?
I joined Belron® in July 2005 - so almost 5 years - as an assistant technician and worked my way up the ladder to the Team Leader and Professional Tutor position I hold today.
What prompted you to enter the competition?
Firstly, my personal motivation was quite simply to be the best, as well as to prove my worth. My desire to win and stamina stem from my military background. Secondly, from a professional point of view my motivation was to show my colleagues that they’d made the right choice, in trusting in me and believing in my capacity and skills to participate in the competition.
How are you preparing for the international final in June?
I’m training intensively in the build-up to the final, including endurance sports and some yoga. I’m brushing up on my English too!
What do you find most enjoyable about your job?
My number one satisfaction is doing a perfect job and delighting my customers. Another source of satisfaction is doing a great job in training new technicians. Gratification for this comes from the site managers who take on the technicians afterwards. I train around 30 trainees a year.
What makes you the 'Best of Belron®'?
The level of competition will of course be extremely high but I’ll be competing in my home country. I’ve definitely got the skills it takes and on top of that the passion and desire to win. I’m a perfectionist! I want to be a Belron® ambassador for excellence in terms of quality and expertise.
What are your main interests outside work?
I’m really into sport especially jogging and body-building; jogging for perseverance and body-building for strength, both predominant characteristics of my personality. Otherwise I’m a sociable guy and enjoy spending time with my friends.
