How long have you worked for Belron®?
I have worked for O’Brien® since September 2005.

What prompted you to enter the competition?
I just thought I would give it a go. I would like to encourage my team members in the Branch to compete in the next competition in 2012. I also wanted to compete and see how I could benchmark my skills against the other regional champions across Australia. And I guess the chance to win a magnificent prize would be wonderful.

How are you preparing for the international final in June?
My intention is to continue practicing right up until the big event. I am focused on being my best and not getting nervous. I will also continue with my Breakfast of Champions - McDonalds. Finally I need to refine my alarm-setting procedure as it failed to go off on the morning of the competition and I slept in and nearly missed the bus to the championship!

What do you find most enjoyable about your job?
I like working with our trainees and helping them. I enjoy training them according to our Belron® standards. It gives me enormous pride to see trainees becoming qualified Auto Technicians.  We have a young group in our Branch, so the team is dynamic and likes to have an enjoyable day.  We put safety first whilst making every day a winner in delighting our customers.

What makes you the Best of Belron®?
Wow, what a question! I guess it would be my speed and my composure. I don’t let pressure get to me; I just try to stay cool and collected.

What are your main interests outside work?
Basketball.  About six of my work colleagues and I play in a team after work on Thursdays. It is a nice way for the team at Canning Vale to relax socially. On the weekends I also like to go to the beach to swim and snorkel. Western Australia has fabulous beaches so it is an ideal way to spend the weekend.
